Join S2MA for an unparalleled experience at the far end of the South American continent.. Here, you will discover Chilean Patagonia, long known for its mountainous landscape, unique flora and fauna, and rich culture. Torres del Paine National Park (“Towers of Blue”) is home to the W Trek, one of the most iconic and breathtaking destinations for backcountry adventurers. Our journey will be graced with towering mountains, forested valleys, crystalline glaciers, and pristine rivers. April is fall in Patagonia and you will be treated to the changing leaves and crisp air, with highs of 40-50F (5-13C) and lows 20-30F (-3-3C).

S2MA values sustainability and partners with well-established Chilean operators. You will trek with S2MA and local, bilingual guides. The 7 day W Trek is beginner-friendly, covering  approximately 47 miles over moderately steep, yet low altitude terrain (max 4000 ft/1220m). This is a supported trek. You will carry a small daypack with personal items and your large duffle will be portered. Evenings will be spent enjoying delicious meals and intoxicating scenery at locally-owned lodges and tent camps.

To prepare you for success, pre-trip video calls are scheduled to assist team members with physical preparation, personal gear, and individual logistics. Team members are invited for optional conditioning treks in the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains.
